What age group is Camp Severn aimed at?
Camp Severn is aimed at the little folk aged  1 -13. That's not to say that older kids won't enjoy it as we have plenty to keep them entertained like the shows but the primary target is the little ones.

All Children under 1 will require a ticket (free of charge). 
What is included in my festival ticket?
Everything except food and drink.

The event is all-inclusive meaning that once you are inside all activities and attractions are included in the cost of your ticket and are unlimited. All you need to buy is your food and drink.

However, please adhere to the following to keep it fair to everyone:


  • All activities are unlimited on the condition that everyone is fair to others. Children are welcome to have unlimited go's on inflatables, rides, etc. However, they must enjoy for the allocated time and then re-join the queue if they would like another turn. Please listen to staff and be fair to others. Enjoyment is our main priority so please respect other families and children.

Where is Camp Severn - Kids Festival Held?
Camp Severn is at West Mid Showground is a peaceful family-friendly site on the banks of the mighty River Severn in the heart of Shrewsbury Town Centre.  Shrewsbury sights, restaurants, and shops are within 15 minutes walk and just half an hour from Ironbridge Gorge and the Shropshire Hills. This site is in the center of it all whilst retaining its country charm.

I don't want to camp, can I still come?
YES, with your weekend ticket camping is included but optional!
Will Camp Severn - Kids Festival continue to run in the rain?
Yes of course most of the activities are undercover! We have indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy so simply throw your wellies on! It's like Glastonbury for kids, mud, rain, who cares as it's all about fun!

Please be aware that some shows may not be able to be run in certain weather conditions. Stunt shows can only run if it is completely safe to do so. Safety is paramount so we would appreciate your understanding if performers deem conditions unsafe to be able to perform.
Do I need to bring cash and is contactless available?
Everything is included in your ticket cost except food and drink. All bars and food vendors will have contactless payment available.

What is your child safety policy?
The safety of all children is the priority, children must always be supervised. Adults will only gain access with a child in their party and all children must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry.

We request that you write an emergency contact number for your child on their wristband so that in the unlikely event that you become separated then we can contact you.

In the event of a child getting separated from their parents please tell a member of staff immediately. The showground will immediately be locked down and all security will be alerted.
Will pictures be taken of my child?
Camp Severn - Kids Festival has official photographers and videographers on site, capturing imagery and footage that may be for promotional purposes on the internet. The event photographers will be wearing official lanyards and uniforms.
Do adults have to buy tickets?
Yes, adult tickets must be bought with a child ticket.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
We will have onsite vendors selling both food and drink however, you are welcome to bring your own food on-site if required and we will have dedicated areas for families to enjoy picnics. Alcohol is not allowed on-site unless purchased from our on-site bar. Adults must drink responsibly and challenge 25 will be in operation.
Is the showground pushchair and wheelchair friendly?
Yes! There are paths all around the showground and ramps into all buildings. There are also disabled toilets and showers for those camping.
Are Dogs allowed?
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome but please be aware that we may close areas to dogs if they get to busy for the dogs own well-being.
What is your refund policy?
We strongly advise your take out the refund protection with the ticket provider in case of a emergency. 

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase. Visitors are welcome to sell their tickets before the event.

  • Cancellation: If an event for which you have purchased Tickets is canceled in full (and not rescheduled), your order will be canceled, and you will be refunded the Sale Price of your Tickets. If you have purchased Tickets or Packages for an event that takes place over several days and one or more days (but not all days) are canceled, you may only be offered a proportionate partial refund.
  • Rescheduling: If an event for which you have purchased Tickets is rescheduled, tickets will be valid for the new date (or you will be offered Tickets of a value corresponding with your original Tickets for the rescheduled event, subject to availability). If you notify us within the specified deadline that you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, you will be able to cancel your order and obtain a refund of the Sale Price of your Tickets or Packages (Service Charges and Order Processing Fees are non-refundable). If we do not specify a deadline, the deadline by default will be 48 hours before the date of the rescheduled event. Failure to notify us by the application deadline that you are unable to attend the rescheduled event will be deemed to be a reconfirmation of your order for Tickets or Packages for the rescheduled event, and you will not be able to claim a refund.
Can I bring a caravan or motorhome?
Yes absolutely!

Electric hook ups are available to book separately at an extra cost.
What camping facilities are available?
West Mid Showground is a fully working camp site with all camping amenities on site including toilets, showers, washing up areas, elsan points and laundry.
Can I pitch next to my friends?
Yes! We want you to have a great time. Simply let us know on arrival and we will save the next pitch along for your friend.

The only time this may not be possible is if the pitches are a mixer of EHU's and none electric.
Can I use my generator?
No we do not allow any generators on site other than those used by providers. Electric hook up's are available to pre-book so if you need electric please book one of these.

Please note that EHU's sell out fast.
